The Meaning Behind the Name
Why PAINTLIFE?
You might be wondering what's the meaning behind PaintLife...
Apart from PAINT being an acronym of what I stand for as a counsellor & workshop facilitator — Prevention, Awareness, Inner-Strength to Navigate Through Life — I like to compare anyone's life to a painting on a canvas.
The canvas represents the family, the country, the culture, and the body you're born into—those unchosen foundations that quietly but profoundly shape the unfolding of your life's journey.
The colours, shadows, brush strokes and pictures layered onto the canvas to create everyone's unique painting, represent the story of anyone's life—its milestones, its relationships, its work, its narratives, its hardships, its traumas, its joys and heartbreaks, etc. Some brushstrokes appear by chance, but many others are shaped by the choices we make along the way!
“How's your life painting looking - are you proud of the choices you've made so far?”
“Which colours stand out the most, when you're looking at your picture?”
“Can you add brighter shades on top of the dark, dull brush strokes?”
“Have you recognised your power to change your final masterpiece, yet?”
Perhaps it's time to change the water or to simply reposition your canvas to a better, brighter spot in the house. I can help you with whatever it is that needs changing, adding, fixing, etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
